Traditional Ketch
A traditional style ketch built out of sheet plywood which makes
for easy construction. The craft features an unstayed rig for
ease of rigging and the rig gives great flexibility of sail
plan. The craft can be sailed on the main and mizzen, the main,
or the mizzen replacing the main forward. The tandem c/bs allow
the craft to be easily balanced regardless of the sail plan and
with the c/b down, down wind performance is exceptionally good.
Rosie features a double ballast tank amidships which gives the
craft excellent stability and there are bouyancy tanks in the
bow and stern to give positive floatation. Hull speed is easily
achieved using a 2½hp outboard motor
